Mediterranean Bluefish recipe – grilled on all types of grills (gas, electric or charcoal) for a perfect, easy (summer) dinner for the family. Perfect as a quick weekday dinner, served with a simple tomato salad on the side. Ideal as a meal on a camping trip.

Today we’re grilling up a lovely fish dish. If you’ve never tried bluefish – and you’re generally a fan of fish – you might just fall for this one. Some folks say bluefish has a strong “fishy” flavor, which I always find a bit funny… it is fish, after all. The trick? A quick marinade in citrus juice, like lemon, which tames the flavor beautifully and leaves you with a mild, deliciously balanced fishy hit.

Behind the Bites: Bluefish inhabit pelagic waters along continental shelves in various regions, including the Atlantic, Indian Oceans, and the Mediterranean. The one we buy most often comes from Spain.
