German Stuffed Mushrooms (Vegetarian)

One of my favorite ways to enjoy mushrooms is by stuffing them generously and baking them to perfection. They’re simple to prepare and perfect for any occasion. Behind the Bites:

Mushrooms have played a fascinating role in European history, valued not only for their flavor and healing properties but also steeped in myth and mystery. The ancient Greeks and Romans prized them as delicacies—though not without risk, as legend has it Emperor Claudius was poisoned by one. During the Middle Ages, mushrooms were often feared and linked to folklore and witchcraft. It is believed by some that mushroom cultivation began in France, around Paris, in the 17th century. Later, their cultivation spread all across Europe.
